I Ching - Sixty-Four Hexagrams - Hexagram Interpretation

The 64 hexagrams of the I Ching are composed of the upper and lower eight trigrams, making a total of 8x8=64 hexagrams. Each hexagram has implications for various aspects such as career, business, marriage, and travel.

Some hexagrams are "situation hexagrams", typically considered "neutral", as they reflect the querent's current state. Whether the future brings misfortune or fortune remains undecided, depending on the querent's actions or the guidance from a transformed hexagram.

A hexagram's indication of fortune or misfortune is not absolute. For example, if you receive a hexagram advising gradual progress for the best outcome when you are eager to make bold moves, this "favorable" hexagram may not align with your expectations and may not seem advantageous in your current mindset.

Hexagram 1 - Creative

Fortune. The Creative Hexagram is generally Fortune, representing vibrant creativity and the power of advancement. However, self-restraint and moderate humility are essential to fully realize the grand goals symbolized by the Creative Hexagram. Thus, its positive effect lies in pursuing success with confidence and resilience, while remaining humble and adaptable.

Hexagram 2 - Receptive

Fortune. Receptive Hexagram symbolizes the selfless, inclusive, and bearing qualities of the Earth. It expresses gentleness without losing stability, emphasizing the virtues of acceptance, harmony with nature, and inclusivity.
